Real Christmas tree's or fake?

Do you have a real Christmas tree or fake? And if it's fake what do you do with it when its worn out? Do you  worry about filling up the landfills? If they came out with recyclable tree's would you buy one even if it cost more?

And if you have a real tree what do you do with it after Christmas? Do you send it to the dump? Wait for it to dry out and burn it in your fire place? Do you put it out in the woods to give animals some shelter? Do you put it your compost? Does your town have tree pick up day? And if so what do they do with the trees?

These kind of questions go through my head. Really. I know I'm weird. I would love to hear what you think, and what you do with your tree's. And as always your questions and comments are always welcome.  Happy New Years everyone!

I have a fake tree, that I hope will last me 60 years, but when it does wear out, I hope that I will be able to recycle it somehow. If that means manually taking it apart and separating it into plastic and metal, I'll do it. :)
